The iPhone mirroring capability, which Apple introduced alongside macOS Sequoia, has yet to become available in the European Union (EU). During the recent WWDC 2025 conference, Apple cited regulatory uncertainties within the EU as the primary reason for this delay. Speculation suggests that Apple may be apprehensive about the EU's Digital Markets Act, which could potentially mandate that its mirroring feature extend to Windows systems or be compatible with Android devices. Furthermore, Kyle Andell, Apple's President of Legal Affairs, indicated that some features in the upcoming iOS 26 might be postponed or withdrawn for European users. Consequently, EU users may face an extended wait to enjoy the iPhone mirroring feature on macOS and certain novel iOS 26 features, such as "Live Activities".
