OpenAI has categorically rejected Robinhood's initiative to introduce tokenized private shares for EU users, stressing that there is no formal collaboration or authorization between the two entities. Robinhood had announced plans to offer "stock tokens" representing shares of over 200 private companies, including OpenAI and SpaceX, for trading purposes. In response, OpenAI clarified that any transfer of its shares necessitates its explicit approval and deemed Robinhood's actions unauthorized. Robinhood clarified that it offers blockchain-based price tracking contracts, not actual share transfers.
