On October 23, the Information Office of the Guangdong Provincial Government convened a press conference centered around a series of events for Tech Finance Week, which are designed to spur high-quality development through tech finance. Dai Wenhui, Deputy Director of the Guangdong Securities Regulatory Bureau, highlighted that the capital market serves as a crucial driver for the growth of the tech industry and acts as a vital financing avenue for hard-tech enterprises. In early 2025, the Guangdong Provincial Government unveiled the Several Measures for High-Quality Development of the Capital Market to Support Modernization in Guangdong. This initiative aims to foster the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation by establishing a comprehensive capital market service system encompassing stocks, bonds, and funds. It also emphasizes risk prevention and regulatory oversight to support key national strategies and the specific '1310' blueprint set forth by the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee. Dai Wenhui stated that the Guangdong Securities Regulatory Bureau will provide more targeted support for high-quality enterprises in their listing and financing endeavors. This will be achieved by strengthening collaboration with local financial, technology, industry, and information technology departments, as well as exchanges. The bureau will also enhance policy dissemination, research discussions, and on-site guidance to accurately identify and nurture hard-tech enterprises at various stages, facilitating their access to the capital market.
