On October 13th, Polish billionaire Michal Solowow reached a cooperation agreement with the Solorz family to jointly construct small modular nuclear reactors, marking their second collaborative attempt in nuclear energy projects. Currently, Poland is committed to upgrading its aging power infrastructure. According to regulatory filings, Solowow's SGE SA and ZE PAK SA have signed an agreement to finalize collaboration details for the construction and operation of small modular nuclear reactors. Solowow holds exclusive rights to promote GE Vernova Hitachi's BWRX-300 reactors and will hold a majority stake in the new joint venture. Poland is making substantial investments to upgrade its power system, planning to replace coal-fired power plants with renewable energy and gas-fired generating units, as coal currently accounts for more than half of Poland's total electricity generation. Additionally, Poland plans to complete its first large-scale nuclear power plant by 2036.
