On October 12, Deep Blue Aerospace announced that its 5-meter-diameter stainless steel co-bottom tank had recently completed production and come off the assembly line. This tank is a pivotal component of the Nebula-2, a large, liquid-fueled, reusable rocket. Its successful production marks a significant milestone, indicating that the Nebula-2—the most powerful liquid-fueled, reusable rocket in China’s private space sector—has now entered a phase of intensive engineering development. The successful development of this tank not only strengthens the company’s in-house capabilities for manufacturing core rocket components but also sets the stage for the upcoming second-stage power system test planned for the end of the year.
