Apple's CEO, John Ternus, has revealed that, in China, more than 95% of Apple's production operations are now powered by renewable energy sources. This significant achievement is a direct result of the collaborative efforts between Apple and its suppliers. In line with this commitment, Apple has ramped up its investment in the second phase of the China Clean Energy Fund, bringing the total committed investment to an impressive $212 million. Initial investments have already been finalized to back two key projects: a 260-megawatt wind power initiative in Guangxi and a 50-megawatt wind power project in Shandong. Both projects are currently in the construction phase. Looking ahead, Apple is dedicated to propelling its global supply chain towards the complete adoption of renewable energy, with the ambitious goal of achieving 100% coverage by the end of 2030.
