Eli Lilly and Company stated that one of its brand-new combination drugs has demonstrated significant weight loss effects, helping diabetic patients lose up to 23% of their body weight, surpassing other drugs in similar studies and poised to become the company's most potent obesity injection formulation to date. In the trial, Lilly combined eloranotide (which mimics the action of the human intestinal hormone amylin) with Mounjaro. The results showed that participants on the highest-dose combination regimen lost an average of 54 pounds, with a 2.9% reduction in blood sugar levels.
