Robinhood Markets Inc. plans to introduce the first-ever weekend stock trading service in the U.S. financial markets, becoming a pioneer in extending trading hours for retail investors. Customers will be able to trade select stocks and ETFs on weekends, with the service facilitated by routing orders to a trading venue operated by Bruce Markets. Steve Quirk, Robinhood's Chief Brokerage Officer, stated that breaking news doesn't wait for the market to open. The company has achieved sustained growth in the retail brokerage sector by rapidly innovating and continually pushing the boundaries of the mainstream. Earlier this year, its fastest-growing business was prediction markets, and it also granted customers access to a wider range of AI-powered trading tools.
