China Huadian Corporation has announced that the world's tallest steel-concrete hybrid tower wind turbine, located in Xinji, Hebei, has been successfully connected to the grid to commence power generation. This achievement represents a significant milestone in China's advancement of ultra-high steel-concrete hybrid tower technology, elevating it to an internationally leading standard. The turbine's hub center reaches an impressive height of 204 meters, comparable to that of a 70-story residential skyscraper. This height enables the turbine to harness superior wind resources at elevated altitudes and reduces the minimum wind speed required for effective power generation to just 4.5 meters per second.

The turbine utilizes cutting-edge, domestically developed ultra-high steel-concrete hybrid tower technology. Its design incorporates a seamless integration between the entire turbine unit and the tower, effectively preventing resonance issues from the outset. The construction process resembles assembling building blocks, resulting in the current title of the world's tallest hybrid tower engineering application. Furthermore, this innovation offers a replicable and scalable technical solution for wind power projects in flat, low-wind-speed regions.
