Vietnam's VinSpeed Signs Contract with Siemens to Collaborate on the Construction of Two High-Speed Railways

On September 22, VinSpeed, a subsidiary of Vietnam's Vingroup, signed a turnkey contract with Siemens Mobility to jointly construct two high-speed railways: Hanoi—Quang Ninh and Ben Thanh—Can Gio, with a maximum contract value of up to €1 billion. VinSpeed is responsible for project development, track, and civil engineering works, while Siemens Mobility will provide technology and railway systems, including 10 Velaro Novo high-speed trains as well as communication and electrification systems. The two lines, measuring 121 kilometers and 54 kilometers in length respectively, will feature a total of six stations.
