On September 10, Microsoft confirmed the presence of a bug in its newly released Microsoft Edge 153 browser. This bug is causing certain web applications to become unresponsive or freeze up entirely when users interact with them. At present, Microsoft is actively investigating the root cause of this issue, but as of yet, it has not provided a specific timeline for when a fix will be rolled out. In the meantime, users who are experiencing problems can opt to temporarily downgrade to Edge version 152 as a workaround. On that same day, Salesforce also reported that its services were encountering intermittent UI freezes when accessed through both Chrome and Edge 153 browsers. In some instances, pages might become completely unresponsive during routine operations, such as switching between tabs.
