Based on the statement released by the U.S. Department of Justice, the Antitrust Division within the department has achieved a landmark ruling providing substantial relief in its monopoly lawsuit (United States et al. v. Google LLC) concerning Google's dominance in the online advertising technology (Ad Tech) sector. The Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia has mandated that Google must halt its monopolistic behaviors, remove its anti-competitive barriers from the market, and be barred from further exploiting its unlawful monopoly status and reaping associated profits. Additionally, the court dismissed Google's argument that 'dismantling the monopoly is not the objective of the antitrust case.'
