At 19:39 on June 4, 2026, Yuanxin Satellite successfully deployed 18 Qianfan networking satellites into their predetermined orbits, utilizing the Long March 6A carrier rocket at the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center. This launch has brought the total number of satellites in the Qianfan constellation to 182, significantly expediting the constellation's networking progress. The Qianfan constellation is a low-Earth-orbit satellite internet system independently developed by China, designed primarily to meet the demands of the Belt and Road Initiative and Chinese enterprises expanding globally. It offers high-speed, real-time, secure, and reliable integrated services that span air, space, land, and sea domains. Yuanxin Satellite envisions providing global users with low-latency, high-speed, and highly reliable satellite internet services in the future. These services will be compatible with multiple communication systems and can be seamlessly upgraded to support 6G standards, ensuring comprehensive coverage across ground, satellite, airborne, and maritime communication networks. According to the plan, the first phase of the Qianfan constellation will involve deploying 648 satellites to achieve regional coverage. The second phase will add another 648 satellites, bringing the total to 1,296, to attain global coverage. Finally, the third phase will deploy over 15,000 satellites to offer integrated multi-service solutions.
