The General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has released a notification regarding a specialized initiative for collaborative pilot projects between ministries and provinces aimed at driving the innovative development of 6G technology. The primary objectives encompass enhancing coordination in nurturing applications, with a particular emphasis on prospective 6G application scenarios including immersive communication, industrial manufacturing, the low-altitude economy, embodied intelligence, and smart oceans. The overarching goal is to harness the supportive functions of policies, data, talent, and capital, while simultaneously reinforcing assurances related to approvals, frequency allocation, and land utilization, in order to cultivate 6G application scenarios that are customized to suit local conditions.

Vertical industries and telecommunications firms will be mobilized to collaboratively undertake the adaptation and validation of 6G application scenarios alongside security solutions. This endeavor will involve exploring novel application demands, motivating small and medium-sized enterprises to engage in scenario demand identification and business model innovation, and ultimately fostering the flourishing growth of 6G applications.
