On April 27, reports emerged detailing a significant event that took place on April 21: Shan Zhongde, the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and concurrently the Administrator of the China National Space Administration (CNSA), chaired a pivotal roundtable meeting focused on the high-quality development of the commercial space sector. The gathering brought together leaders from 14 prominent enterprises spanning various domains, including rocket development, satellite manufacturing, commercial launch services, satellite measurement and control, constellation construction, and satellite applications.
During the meeting, these industry leaders engaged in comprehensive discussions, delving into development strategies, pinpointing challenges, and proposing insightful suggestions. Their deliberations covered a wide range of topics, from scientific research and production to licensing and market access, launch applications, frequency coordination, in-orbit operations, and the promotion of satellite applications. In response, relevant departments and institutions under the MIIT and CNSA provided on-the-spot answers and feedback to the questions and opinions raised by the participating enterprises, fostering an environment of open dialogue and collaborative problem-solving.
