According to Huawei’s internal anti-corruption documentation, Deng, the former head of the Terminal BG Multimedia Technology Department, has been officially approved for arrest by the Longgang District People’s Procuratorate. The approval is based on suspicions of Deng accepting bribes in his capacity as a non-public official. Deng first joined Huawei in July 2007 and held various positions within the company, including roles as an engineer in the Terminal General Technology Hardware Platform Department and as a senior engineer in the Terminal Components and Normalization Department. His tenure culminated in December 2020, when he assumed leadership of the Multimedia Technology Department.
