U.S. commercial remote sensing satellite company Vantor (formerly Maxar) captured a Starlink satellite of SpaceX up close using its WorldView-3 Earth observation satellite. On December 17, this Starlink satellite exhibited abnormalities, with an accidental leak from its propellant tank, resulting in a loss of contact with the ground. SpaceX confirmed that the satellite has lost stability and is in a constant tumbling state, known as unstable rotation. Its orbit will gradually decrease, and it is expected to enter the Earth's atmosphere and burn up completely within a few weeks.
