During the 2024 annual results conference, He Biao, CEO of China Mobile, disclosed that the company intends to invest a substantial RMB 37.3 billion in computing power initiatives for the year 2025. This significant investment will elevate the proportion of capital expenditure dedicated to computing power to 25%. The projected general computing capacity (FP32) is anticipated to reach 8.9 EFLOPS, while the intelligent computing capacity (FP16) is expected to surpass 34 EFLOPS.
Mr. He emphasized that the intelligent computing plan targeting over 34 EFLOPS will primarily concentrate on pre-training resources. Notably, the investment in inference resources will be dynamically adjusted in response to market demands, with no predefined upper limit, ensuring adaptability and responsiveness to evolving technological and market landscapes.
