On February 11, Wuhan hosted the Hubei Province Data Work Conference, which centered on the 2025 data strategy. The conference outlined an ambitious roadmap for acceleration across nine pivotal fronts, all under the unifying theme of "expansion." Initially, it underscored the relentless enhancement of digital infrastructure, deepening the Digital Hubei Action Plan. This entailed harmonizing the allocation of computing power, storage capacity, and transportation capacity, alongside bolstering the development of data circulation infrastructure and open-source systems. Secondly, the conference proposed fostering the seamless integration of real-world data and expediting the transformation of data elements into value. This was to be achieved through intensifying the pilot projects of comprehensive data element test zones and driving the "three transformations and one promotion" of data resources, with the aspiration of establishing Hubei as a central node in the data element market. Furthermore, the conference emphasized elevating the data industry's sophistication by nurturing data element enterprises, expanding industrial clusters, and executing the "Four Numbers Strengthen Foundation" action plan. Additional focal points included the innovative utilization of data elements, enhancing government service efficiency, intensifying the application of digital technological innovations, fortifying the foundation of digital government support, and strengthening the safeguards for the data industry's growth. Practical steps outlined involved reinforcing digital field planning, establishing comprehensive support for the digital ecosystem, undertaking pilot digital transformation initiatives, and augmenting efforts to secure project funding.
