China-BEI Communications' subsidiary, Bei Communications International, intends to acquire a 55% stake in Indonesia's Semesta Energy Technology Services for a total of US$25 million. This investment comprises US$7.5 million for direct equity purchase and US$17.5 million for capital increase. Since its inception in 2011, Semesta has specialized in the construction of communication infrastructure, power and new energy infrastructure, as well as information technology services. This acquisition is poised to propel China-BEI Communications into the Southeast Asian market, bolstering its global competitiveness in the energy and communications sectors while reinforcing Semesta's technological and service capabilities.
