On January 23, Amazon Web Services (AWS) unveiled a substantial investment of $8.3 billion in cloud infrastructure in Maharashtra, India. This announcement forms part of AWS's broader commitment to invest $12.7 billion in India by the year 2030. The primary objective of this investment is to bolster cloud computing capabilities within the country. By 2030, it is anticipated that this investment will contribute approximately $15.3 billion to India's GDP and facilitate the creation of more than 81,300 full-time job opportunities across the local data center supply chain.
