Google has just quietly launched the Chrome browser tailored for devices running on the Linux arm64 architecture. This new release empowers users of single-board computers like Raspberry Pi, AI desktop devices, and laptops equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon chips to install it natively. This iteration of Chrome boasts three key capabilities: Firstly, it allows users to seamlessly synchronize bookmarks, passwords, and other data through their Google accounts. Secondly, it supports high-definition video playback with DRM protection, such as Netflix 4K streaming, enabled by the native Widevine content decryption module. Thirdly, it has been optimized for the ARM architecture, resulting in faster page loading speeds and improved energy efficiency.
