The performance of the three key indices diverged notably. The STAR 50 Index and the Shenzhen Component Index both retreated after reaching their respective peaks, whereas the ChiNext Index experienced a sharp decline of over 3%. On the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges, trading volume amounted to 2.65 trillion yuan, marking a contraction of 303.7 billion yuan compared to the previous trading session, with more than 3,800 stocks closing in the red. In contrast, the power and non-ferrous metal sectors managed to buck the overall downward trend, posting gains. Meanwhile, concepts related to computing power leasing and super-nodes remained vibrant. However, storage chip and PCB concepts faltered amidst increased market volatility. At the market close, the Shanghai Composite Index eked out a marginal gain of 0.07%, while the Shenzhen Component Index dropped by 1.42%, and the ChiNext Index tumbled by 3.23%.
