As reported by TheElec, Samsung SDI has inked a supply agreement valued at roughly 2 trillion won with battery module manufacturer Simplo Technology. The deal entails providing battery cells for artificial intelligence data centers (AIDC). Samsung SDI mentioned that the growing investment in data centers has led to a surge in the sales of battery backup units (BBU). Consequently, both the production volume and utilization rates of cylindrical batteries have reached high levels.
