On July 1st, as reported by Bloomberg, SpaceX rolled out a discounted promotion for Starlink internet packages in Memphis, Tennessee. The monthly fees for these packages are now available at half the original price, spanning from $27.5 to $65. This discount is shareable among friends and family, and new users are exempt from making an initial hardware payment. Previously, SpaceX had encountered opposition and legal hurdles in its efforts to establish data centers in the area as well as in Mississippi. Its Colossus data center, in particular, faced a lawsuit concerning pollution concerns. In response, SpaceX has consented to recommence the construction of a local wastewater recycling treatment facility.
