Members of PJM Interconnection have approved a plan to acquire additional power through a backup procurement process from September 10 to November 20, 2026, to meet the growing demand from data centers. The members also voted on proposals regarding electricity usage restrictions during periods of grid stress and the associated cost-sharing arrangements. The voting results will serve as a reference for the Management Committee's decision-making, which will ultimately determine which policies and terms to advance.
