Networks are evolving into guarantors of AI experiences and contenders for pricing power in the intelligent economy. Liu Ying, Deputy General Manager of China Telecom, pointed out that artificial intelligence is shifting from competition among large models to the large-scale deployment of applications, with explosive growth in data endpoints serving as the primary driver. China's daily Token invocation volume has surpassed 140 trillion, marking a 1,000-fold increase since early 2024. Huawei predicts that by 2035, there will be 900 billion AI agents globally, autonomously completing 15% of daily tasks. The large-scale deployment of AI agents is driving growth in Byte traffic and Token usage, imposing requirements for millisecond-level latency and high reliability on networks. To address this, China Telecom has deepened its 'Cloud Transformation, Digital Transformation, Intelligence Empowerment, and Benefit Delivery' strategy, establishing the nation's first 5G-A large-bandwidth uplink network. It has also partnered with leading AI enterprises to form the 'Token High-Quality Experience Industry Alliance.' Huawei, meanwhile, has unveiled an AI-Centric target network, promoting a shift toward 'real-time interactive networking' and emphasizing the importance of the U6GHz frequency band. In terms of commercial applications, Huawei and China Telecom have made progress in both ToC and ToB sectors, such as developing smart home assistants and providing guaranteed services. Meanwhile, the integration of computing and networking has emerged as a new commercial entry point, with China Telecom's 'five-in-one' intelligent cloud system enabling efficient computing power scheduling and supply. Despite challenges, the commercial closed loop of the Token economy is taking shape, and the product forms of operators are undergoing fundamental changes.
