During the initial five months of this year, the aggregated revenue generated from telecom services amounted to RMB 735.5 billion, reflecting a 1.9% decrease compared to the same period last year. Nevertheless, when adjusted for constant prices from the previous year, the overall volume of telecom services witnessed a 7.9% year-on-year surge. By the conclusion of May, the combined count of mobile IoT terminal subscribers among the three fundamental telecom operators soared to 2.98 billion, representing a net growth of 91.67 million from the end of the preceding year. Concurrently, the user base for Internet TV expanded to 409 million, with a net addition of 1.243 million subscribers. The cumulative number of 5G base stations has escalated to 5.053 million, showing a net increase of 214,000 from the end of last year, and now constitutes 39% of the total mobile base stations, up by 0.3 percentage points from the first four months of the year.
