On Monday, oil and gas giant Chevron announced a 20-year cooperation agreement with Microsoft, under which it will provide natural gas-fired power generation services for Microsoft's large data center located in West Texas. The data center project, codenamed 'Project Kilby,' is expected to have a total electricity load of nearly 2.7 gigawatts, capable of meeting the electricity needs of approximately 2 million households. The project is scheduled to start supplying power in 2028 and will gradually expand to its maximum installed capacity.
