The AI infrastructure company Nebius Group announced on Tuesday that it will build a new 310-megawatt data center in Finland to advance its expansion in Europe. With the growing demand for AI computing power, the data center, valued at over $10 billion, will become one of the largest in Europe. This project is Nebius's 10th data center campus, to be constructed by Finnish developer Polarnode in the city of Lappeenranta, and is expected to be commissioned in phases starting from 2027. Nebius has recently signed supply contracts worth over $40 billion with Microsoft and Meta Platforms, and the new data center will be used for training and running AI models, without being tied to a single customer.
