On March 23, 2026, at its first-ever technology summit, Siemens declared its intention to forge deeper strategic ties with Alibaba. This collaboration will span across industrial infrastructure, automation, and applications empowered by artificial intelligence. Siemens and Alibaba plan to merge Siemens' suite of simulation products with the robust computing capabilities and infrastructure of Alibaba Cloud. This integration aims to offer customers in the Chinese market access to computer-aided engineering (CAE) solutions, delivered via an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) framework. Furthermore, both entities are set to investigate the potential synergy between the QianWen large language model and Siemens' Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, along with other tools, to propel the intelligent transformation of industrial digital software.
