On March 18, cloud service giants Alibaba Cloud and Baidu Intelligent Cloud simultaneously announced price increases for their AI computing power and storage products, with the highest surge reaching 34%. Since the latter half of 2025, the global memory chip market has embarked on a fresh cycle of price escalations, with the ripple effects continuing to intensify. Notably, OPPO and Vivo have also recently announced price hikes for their smartphones. According to a Xinhua News Agency report on March 18, Samsung Electronics in South Korea is bracing for a potential large-scale strike, a development that threatens to further tighten the supply-demand balance for memory products. Industry experts foresee that memory chip prices will remain elevated from 2026 to 2027, presenting significant cost pressures across the entire industrial chain.
