Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology unveiled the Guidelines for the Construction of a National Computing Power Interconnection Node System along with its accompanying document, Implementation Rules for the Construction of National Computing Power Interconnection Nodes, to propel the advancement of a nationwide computing power interconnection node framework. This framework is structured around 1 central national computing power internet service node, complemented by M regional nodes and N industry-specific nodes. Leveraging an operational model characterized by 'unified identification, unified standards, and unified regulations,' the system seeks to facilitate standardized interconnection and seamless flow of computing resources, thereby elevating the utilization efficiency and service quality of public computing power assets.

Regional nodes are strategically positioned to cater to areas with pronounced computing power demands, whereas industry-specific nodes are tailored to address the requirements of pivotal sectors. All nodes will be constructed and integrated into the national network in accordance with uniform standards. The application phase for these nodes has already commenced, with each provincial-level administrative region and industry sector being eligible to submit an application for one node in principle. Approved applications will undergo a review process and be publicly announced thereafter.
