On December 14, figures released by South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT revealed that the export value of South Korea's information and communication technology (ICT) products soared to US$25.45 billion in November. This marked a 24.3% year-on-year surge, setting an all-time high for a single month. Up to this point, South Korea's ICT product export value has sustained year-on-year growth for ten consecutive months. This uptrend is largely attributed to the thriving semiconductor sector and a rebound in demand for ICT equipment.

When delving into specific product categories, export values for semiconductors, mobile phones, communication equipment, computers, and their peripheral devices all witnessed an uptick. The growth rates stood at 38.6%, 3.5%, 3.3%, and 1.9% respectively. However, the export value of displays saw a 3.7% year-on-year decline. Among these, semiconductors stood out prominently, with their export value skyrocketing by 38.6% year-on-year to reach US$17.27 billion. This not only established a new single-month export value benchmark but also marked the fourth occasion this year (following June, August, and September) when a new record was set. Semiconductors thus played a pivotal role in driving the overall growth of ICT product export value.
