On October 29th, reports emerged that during an investor conference call held on October 28th, Sungrow disclosed a significant shift in the power supply landscape for data centers. Specifically, there is a transition underway from traditional AC power supply systems, predominantly reliant on Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), to advanced 800V DC power supply systems. Sungrow's strategic positioning in the Artificial Intelligence Data Center (AIDC) sector is underpinned by three core strengths:

  • Firstly, the company holds a technological edge in high-voltage applications, ensuring efficient and reliable power delivery.
  • Secondly, Sungrow boasts profound technological expertise in the realm of solid-state transformers, a critical component in modern power systems.
  • Thirdly, there is a growing demand among data center customers for direct green power supply solutions, aligning with global sustainability goals.

Sungrow has duly noted the mention of SST (Solid-State Transformer) integrated with large-scale energy storage solutions in NVIDIA's white paper. The company is well-equipped to offer precise power supply solutions, seamlessly bridging the gap from green power sources to high-voltage DC, and further down to cabinets and board-level systems. In line with its vision, Sungrow intends to forge partnerships with leading cloud service providers and internet enterprises, both domestically and internationally. The collaborative efforts will focus on accelerating product initiation and development, with the ambitious target of achieving product deployment and initiating small-scale deliveries by 2026.
