By the end of September this year, the combined count of fixed-internet broadband subscribers served by China's three principal telecom operators had soared to 695 million, marking a net growth of 24.86 million from the close of the previous year. Within this user base, the number of subscribers enjoying internet speeds of 100Mbps and above, as well as those with speeds of 1000Mbps and above, stood at 661 million and 235 million, respectively. On September 25, reports indicated that China's 5G mobile phone user count had reached a staggering 1.154 billion, supported by a total of 4.646 million 5G base stations. China has constructed the world's most extensive collaborative network for construction and sharing, boasting over 1.5 million jointly built and shared 5G base stations. This achievement has facilitated uninterrupted 5G coverage across regions at and above the township level nationwide. Through this initiative, the country has realized cumulative savings exceeding 380 billion yuan in investment and has curtailed annual carbon emissions by over 13 million tons.
