On October 22, Yang Bing, the CEO of OceanBase—a homegrown database company under Ant Group—issued a letter to all staff members. In this letter, he declared a full-scale acceleration of the company's globalization endeavors and formally introduced the "GO GLOBAL GO Program—Global Expansion Initiative."

Yang Bing elaborated that the company would handpick internal talents to form a pioneering team for the global market. This team would spearhead the comprehensive overseas expansion of OceanBase's products, services, sales, and marketing efforts.

At present, OceanBase has already established its presence in key markets, including Hong Kong, Macao, and Southeast Asia. Moreover, the company is set to make its foray into the Japanese market in September 2025. OceanBase is actively engaging with more than 70 overseas clients, having successfully secured contracts and payments from 40 of them.
