During the first three quarters of this year, Guizhou Province witnessed a total societal electricity consumption of 151.676 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh), reflecting a 7.81% increase compared to the same period last year. Notably, electricity consumption attributed to internet data services experienced a remarkable surge of 72.92%. In contrast, industrial electricity consumption saw a 7.50% rise, while the tertiary sector's electricity usage increased by 9.23%. Additionally, sectors encompassing culture, sports, and entertainment, along with accommodation, catering, and battery-swapping services, also reported growth in their electricity consumption.

Guizhou's digital economy is thriving, evidenced by the 49 pivotal data centers either under construction or already operational, boasting a computing capacity surpassing 100 EFLOPS (exaFLOPS), with intelligent computing constituting over 98% of this capacity. The steady escalation in electricity consumption serves as a testament to the vibrancy and dynamism of Guizhou's socio-economic environment.

In response to this burgeoning demand, Guizhou Power Grid Corporation is poised to bolster the grid infrastructure by undertaking critical power grid projects. These initiatives aim to ensure a reliable and stable power supply, thereby more effectively catering to the industrial layout and safeguarding energy security within the region.
