Spanish Cellnex Sells French Data Center Business for €390 Million

Spain's Cellnex, the largest mobile phone tower operator in Europe, announced on Friday that it has signed a put option agreement to sell 99.99% of the equity in its French data center business, Towerlink France, through its French subsidiary to Vauban Infra Fiber for €391 million (approximately $458 million). The transaction will be paid in full in cash on the completion date. Previous reports indicated that Cellnex was discussing with advisors the sale of its French data center business to focus on its core operations and shift its strategy from acquisitions to improving its financial position.
