While Wi-Fi 7 hasn't fully taken off yet, Wi-Fi 8 is already silently making its way forward. TP-Link has made an announcement stating that it has successfully carried out the first hardware test trial for Wi-Fi 8 using prototype gear. This trial put the beacon and data throughput capabilities of Wi-Fi 8 to the test, marking a pivotal moment in its development journey. Wi-Fi 8 is centered around ultra-high reliability (UHR). It utilizes vital technologies, including coordinated spatial reuse, coordinated beamforming, and dynamic subchannel operation. These technologies are aimed at boosting network reliability and tackling problems related to signal interference and spectrum efficiency in high-density settings.
