On October 8, Google announced that it will make an additional investment of €5 billion in Belgium over the next two years to expand its cloud computing and artificial intelligence infrastructure. The investment plan includes expanding the data center campus in Saint-Ghislain and creating 300 new full-time positions. Additionally, Google announced new agreements with Eneco, Luminus, and Renner to support the construction of new onshore wind farms, providing clean energy to the power grid.
