At the Yunqi Conference, Alibaba Cloud unveiled a fresh wave of global infrastructure expansion initiatives. The company is set to establish its inaugural cloud computing regional nodes in Brazil, France, and the Netherlands. Additionally, it will expand its data center footprint in countries like Mexico and Japan, aiming to cater to the escalating AI and cloud computing demands of its global clientele. Presently, Alibaba Cloud manages 91 availability zones spanning 29 regions, cementing its position as the largest cloud service provider in China and a frontrunner in the Asia-Pacific region. Since the onset of this year, Alibaba Cloud has been ramping up its infrastructure investments, inaugurating eight new AI and cloud data centers, along with availability zones, in Beijing, Shanghai, and other key locales.
