The General Office of the People's Government of Hubei Province has unveiled a set of measures aimed at accelerating the coordinated development of computing, networking, storage, and utilization within the province. The plan envisions that by 2027, Hubei's total computing power will soar to 25 EFLOPS (exaFLOPS, or a quintillion floating-point operations per second), with intelligent computing and supercomputing constituting no less than 90% of newly established computing facilities.

In tandem with this, an intra-provincial platform will be established to facilitate seamless interconnection and intercommunication of computing power, enabling efficient cross-domain scheduling. The latency between computing power internet connections across different cities and prefectures will be minimized to within 5 milliseconds, ensuring swift and responsive data transmission.

Moreover, Hubei Province is set to integrate deeply into the national "Compute East, Store West" initiative and the national integrated computing power network. This strategic move is expected to elevate the quality and efficiency of computing power throughout the province, fostering an efficient matching of supply and demand. Ultimately, it aims to cultivate a coordinated development pattern for computing, networking, storage, and utilization that is not only reasonably laid out and interconnected into a network but also promotes mutual development between construction and utilization, all while adhering to green and low-carbon principles.
