Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable released a statement addressing the abnormal fluctuations in its stock trading. The announcement highlighted that, in recent times, there has been a surge in market interest surrounding fiber optic cable products designed for computing power data centers, with a particular focus on hollow-core fibers. At present, the demand for data center-related fiber optic cable products represents a relatively minor portion of the overall global market. Hollow-core fibers, being a cutting-edge technology, are still in the nascent stages of their application lifecycle. There have been no significant large-scale sales of these fibers to date. Consequently, both the pricing and profit margins associated with hollow-core fibers remain volatile, and the overall business development is contingent upon the further maturation of the industrial supply chain. As it stands, the hollow-core fiber business has not exerted a substantial influence on the company's financial performance.
