On September 9, Zhang Yunming, the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, announced that the upcoming phase will focus on propelling the development of a new generation of information infrastructure. This includes solidifying China's global leadership in foundational networks by extending 5G-A network coverage to key urban centers and high-traffic zones, and facilitating the shift of 10-gigabit optical networks from experimental stages to widespread deployment and practical use. Additionally, efforts will be made to elevate the provision and strategic distribution of computing power resources, fostering closer integration between computing capabilities and network infrastructure to cultivate a thriving computing ecosystem. The ministry also aims to expedite the modernization of integrated infrastructure, establish cutting-edge industrial networks, drive forward the implementation of cellular V2X technology, and ultimately construct a comprehensive, modern information infrastructure framework.
