As the construction of artificial intelligence data centers continues to advance, the imbalance between supply and demand in the global memory market has intensified. South Korean memory chip giant SK Hynix pointed out in its latest earnings report that due to factors such as increased investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure, rising difficulty in advanced manufacturing process technologies, and the long cycle for building new production capacity, the global memory supply shortage is expected to persist until 2030. This may lead to continued increases in memory prices for consumer electronics such as personal computers and smartphones, with the tight supply situation unlikely to be alleviated in the short term.
