Musk: ASML and Other Companies are Accelerating the Delivery of Chip Manufacturing Equipment for Terafab

On October 21, Musk stated that major semiconductor manufacturing equipment suppliers, including ASML, have accelerated the delivery of equipment to Tesla and SpaceX's Terafab chip project. During SpaceX's third-quarter earnings call, Musk expressed that time is of the essence and thanked the suppliers for expediting deliveries to support the project's progress. Terafab is a large-scale chip manufacturing project planned by Musk for Tesla and SpaceX, aiming to meet the enormous demand for chips such as AI processors from both companies and compensate for the shortcomings of existing suppliers in advanced chip supply. SpaceX plans to achieve large-scale mass production of chips at the Terafab factory in the third or fourth quarter of 2028.
