NVIDIA’s flagship consumer graphics card, the GeForce RTX 5090, has recently been taken down from its official online store, fueling widespread speculation about whether the product will be discontinued or replaced. Built on the cutting-edge Blackwell architecture and positioned as one of the highest-performing consumer models available, the RTX 5090’s removal has sparked significant interest and discussion within the hardware community.

According to industry reports, NVIDIA may be reallocating all GB202 chips—the core component of the RTX 5090—to its professional RTX Pro series graphics cards, halting further supplies to the GeForce gaming lineup. This shift implies that both the standard RTX 5090 and its China-exclusive variant, the RTX 5090 D, could be phased out simultaneously. The resulting supply crunch has triggered a sharp spike in prices, with some e-commerce platforms seeing increases of over 50%.

While NVIDIA has yet to issue an official statement confirming the discontinuation, clear signs of constrained inventory have already begun to surface across the market.
