Since September, isopropyl alcohol has taken center stage as a top performer in China's chemical industry. By September 29, its domestic reference price had climbed to RMB 9,308.33 per ton, representing a significant 23.84% surge from the price recorded on September 1. Moreover, within the same month, prices briefly peaked at RMB 9,780 per ton. When compared to the year's nadir of RMB 6,142 per ton seen in early July, the cumulative price hike over the past two months has surpassed an impressive 40%. Isopropyl alcohol plays a pivotal role as an essential cleaning solvent in semiconductor fabrication, being utilized in key processes such as wafer cleaning, photoresist residue elimination, and precision drying.
