Recently, two prominent entities in the storage sector, GigaDevice and Puya Semiconductor, unveiled their semi-annual financial results. GigaDevice reported a revenue of RMB 11.566 billion for the first half of the year, marking a significant year-on-year increase of 178.67%, and its net profit soared to RMB 6.857 billion, reflecting a staggering 1091.5% growth. Meanwhile, Puya Semiconductor's revenue for the corresponding period climbed to RMB 3.959 billion, a remarkable 336.67% rise compared to the previous year, and its net profit reached RMB 827 million, surging by an impressive 1929.65%. The concurrent surge in both demand and prices for storage chips, propelled by the construction of AI computing power, stands out as the key driver behind the remarkable performance of these companies.
